DeTour Village has been open for business since 1899.  Our maritime village and township sits along the St. Mary's River which is the gateway to the North Channel.  De Tour Village has a business community complete with unique shops, restaurants and bars, gas station, grocery store, antiques, post office, churches, building center, art gallery and gifts.  Among the many services in our village you will find a business park, insurance office, cabin/vacation home rentals, hair salons and famers market.  Add to this beautiful beaches, parks, De Tour State Harbor Marina, library, boat yard, botanical gardens, fitness center, arts council, sidewalks through out the Village and ferry service to Drummond Island.  The business park is located within minutes from the Village downtown.

Living in De Tour Village and the De Tour Township area is simplicity at it's best, charming, private and riverfront views.  Great schools, friendly people and laid back atmosphere.

In the past years, many retirees have moved here.  The lifestyle gives you peace of mind and harmony.  The natural beauty of the Village riverfront gives one a feeling of joy, whether walking, riding a bike or just stopping to take in the view.  The people are trustworthy and respectable to one another.  The list of outdoor activities are endless, hiking, biking, boating, fishing, hunting, camping, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing; four season of outdoor activities.  A great place to live and work.
